Who We Are

The Hazara People

The Hazara are an ethnic group native to the Hazaristan region of central Afghanistan, with significant communities in Pakistan, Iran, and diaspora worldwide. Known for their distinct Mongoloid features and unique cultural identity, the Hazara people carry a legacy that spans over a millennium.

Despite facing centuries of persecution and discrimination, the Hazara have preserved their rich cultural heritage — from their language and cuisine to their music and traditions. Today, the Hazara diaspora continues to thrive, contributing to arts, sciences, politics, and culture across the globe.
